THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION?

First things first..... Dan Kana (The Electrician) Covington is coming in for his mom's birthday in April. He will be in Tucson and Phoenix in I believe, mid-month. Good reason for a party!

Here's the email between me and Kim regarding the solstice weekend and yes it will be hot but it's a dry heat; I think you could call this a firm but tentative date..... Something to plan around BUT needs confirmation!!

HEY KIM ------

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF AN EXHIBITION OF "LIVING-ART"/KCAC RELICS, AT ALWUN?

JUNE 21ST IS THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF BILL'S DEATH.

Ron,
what a joy to keep the circle - unbroken.
If summer Solstice is your date (and Bill's memorial), it would be fine - bring the misters!
I've e-mailed Mariah a couple months ago that we'd be open in the most glorious temperate dates from April, or May for such a gathering (having had so many "May Day" festivals in our shaded gardens - May 1 is also when there's Immigrant and recent resident parade in Phoenix (remember 500,000 at last years march?)

Is this the same time of Kona Dan Covington's visit?

Check out our website, under : Garden Rental: for tables and chairs, and setting (we have private parties renting throughout the year (if its hot - they rent portable evap coolers --- if it's cold they rent space heaters; normal stuff)

Thanks for keeping Alwun's ol'homested for art and community alive. We do mourn the loss of Gentle Strength Food Co-op last week - all our old friends businesses and co-ops seem to be passing - evolving; we're working to maintain Alwun House as a vibrant setting for such gatherings as you've suggested for the next 35 years.
Thanks. Kim 602.253.7967

May 1st happens to be my birthday, and I'm pleased that so many of my immigrant friends will be marching through the streets of Phoenix in my honor.

But seriously... I'm all for a reunion/party, whatever date works best for anybody, although Friday June 22nd or Saturday June 23rd seems (1) an appropriate time to honor Bill, and (2) most practical in terms of job schedules and travel plans. I'm flexible, so everybody else please talk to each other and let's work this out.
