This isn't the 'Hide and Seek Blog." But recently the blog's been caught up in a silly game with spam that gets sillier every day. So, on the assumption that the spammer is a 'who' here's an idea...
The bogus ads are a sleeper, but the stuff tacked on to the end of the posts is worth a look. It's always what appears to be a sort of stream of consciousness 'poetry' that jabs at the status quo...or perhaps it's just some weird set of random words that have an unintended relationship (just giving the benefit of the doubt to the so called human mind.)
The thing is, the blog will automatically delete spam no matter how creative some of it might be. So how about coming out of hiding? If you want to participate in this blog, leave a comment in the blog "comments" section. It gets pretty interesting at times. Sometimes comments wind up on the site redone as posts and ouila! New topics.
This site is dedicated to some truly amazing people who have given a lot to our community. Some of them have died, and the KCAC Lives Blog is a sort of living tribute to them. Please respect the intentions of the blog. Feel free to leave a comment, open a dialogue...that's what the blog is here for. But get on or get off the bus, y'know? There's room for anyone to get on the bus but you have to come through the door like the rest of us travelers.

Forgive me Mariah but you are attempting to have a conversation with a fence post. Spammers have NO concience or soul and after the email address is entered they are totally on auto-pilot. Many of the spam programs that cause a post to a blog like this are actually ROBOT programs that cruise the blogs, looking for a victim for an auto-post. You get cute messages like "Hey dude I really like your blog man, beautiful job! Check out mine. It's about ######## at ###### which if you do check it out, will get you an absolutely free sales pitch.
I have HUNDREDS of Spam messages that arrive daily at my mailbox at Dejavu2u2@gmail.com which is where I advertise audio restoration. GMAIL thank God, filters out 95% of the Spam but they don't catch it all. It takes a while to ID those ISP's and some of the most INVENTIVE Spam addresses are used - also computer-generated.
And so, I sadly have to say that for now there is no hope at least until a reliable and economical method of personal tracking and assasinations of Spammers is worked out. Shooting fence posts is a waste of time and money. Ask Dick Cheney.
In the words of Roger Waters/Pink Floyd; Welcome to the machine.

Hey Ronco,
Love the pseudonym, man! I know it's hopeless but I always like to try...(o: yes I am sure I waste a lot of time with that attitude! Good to hear from you! How's life over yonder?
Marginally Optimistic
Life is good. About to get on two wheels again. Heck with 1200cc and a stereo, who needs a walker? Besides, I gots my Mojo Stick if I have to get off the bike for any reason. With a cell phone and a motorcycle cargo/camping trailer, I may just make it a life on the road. Got any pot?
Ronco
Sound like you''ve been watching 'Easy Rider' (o: Glad you're having fun - there's a lot of nice country to explore in those parts.
Marg-O
Hey Ron... Meet ya in the alley with our friend, Herb...Gately
Ahh, the good ol' days, eh?

Hey Ronco, anyway ya slice it, dice it, you've always had yo head in the stars and rubber on the road..GoGuy ! If your cruising 93 up north I got a gold mine you can camp on midst the boulders and buzz worms...Milepost 150, out of Wickenberg, turn right up the karnley road and pick a spot..Up on the high ridge is best for View...If your goin, I'll meet you at Nothing with my pal, Herb and show ya where to go...
Anyway, ShowTimenPHX..Can you scoot down to the Ice House on June 15 for a Gathering of the Tribes...? Free nachos & merlot !!!
Gately
Bob, I know you gotta be talking about my old gold claim called M'Druthers. It's a deserted claim, once had an adobe cabin ruins on it. I kid you not, I posted a mining patent on it and registered it in Precott..... gotta be about 1974 or so.
Unbelievable experience with a motorcycle breakdown on that stretch of road. Blew a tire, somehow coasted to an old funky service station THAT I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE OR SINCE and the guy just happened to have an EXACT REPLACEMENT among the 12-15 tires on the rack. AND, oh yeah all the free water you could drink.
Truth. Yes but the joke was, if I had "M'Druthers" that's where I would be. I am sure there is a copy of the claim still in the records building or courthouse. My mug shots from a bust in Jerone in 1969 may be there, too. Claim on M'Druthers defaulted after ten years.
Holy cow, Bob. Let's eat this damn thing.
Ronco
Sounds like a tale from the Twilight Zone..But then, isnt that the fun of the life we've lived ?
Nope, your M'drothers claim isnt mine. My mine came as a gift from MaryLou Gully of the Mystery Castle in 1994. It was a claim her Dad started working on back in 1932. He dug enough gold out of it to build her the Castle and she gave it to me so I'd have the gold to do my show...What a love.
Indeed, it is a most beautiful place for a miner/poet to hole-up and write & wonder on the meaning of life..I've had 12 years of bliss sitting on that mountaintop and looking forward to many more.
Your claim is, for sure, registered in the Yavapai County Book of Mines at the recorders office in Prescott...Next time I'm up there renewing my claim I'll look you up and see how close you are to mine mine.
The claim may even be available to claim an all it cost you is $165 bucks to be reactivated...that is if no high-grader-claim-jumping-son-of-ah-bitch didnt beat ya to it...
I go up pretty frequently and if ya want to ride shotgun sometime I'd love to have you along. Mostly I go to check in on my one-eyed hermit artist Buddy, George Brucha (see. brucha.com)who I'm sure you would be delighted to shoot the shit with far into the night...He's been living in an old cowboy line shack for 22 years now painting, painting & PAINTING, off the grid and out of our time.Brother Bills son, Billy set him up with a website a few years ago and I'll bet he is the only hermit in north america with a world wide web site...Gotta love this Web that we can spyder around on and stay in touch with all who have touched our lives...Go figger.
Gotta be a reason we geezers are still around an wondering. Wondering what th hey we're gonna do when the candles ends meet an come to The End, my Friend...snuff said.
Bob
CHAPTER TWO
I lived out on 9822 S. Central in the mid 1970's about a mile North os South Mountain Park. Almost made a pest of myself at MaryLou Gully's Mystery Castle. Regarded her as a lovely lady and always wondered about the bed on railroad tracks. Mr. Gully must have been a chuckle.
9822 South Central is gone now but MAY still be marked by a 30-foot CONCRETE BOAT (no kiddin') that was trucked into the backyard one morning. I bet it is still there. I was getting ready to turn it into a swimming pool but then got the chance to move up to the hill house (John Robertson's old place) on South 35th Avenue near Starbright Ranch.
I tell you Bob, this is damn good barbecue. Sure hope it's not someone's daughter.....
Ronco
Pervert ! MaryLou has been hip to all you Lotharios who would get into her mine...er mind....
Did she tell you the story of the bed on tracks ? Her dad let an old Mormon Bishop stay at the Castle while he was out of town, maybe up at the Sun Cloud/Sun Beam. Boyce came back and saw buzzards circling the castle and stopped at the gas station down on Baseline and asked the guy what was up...The Guy said, the ole Bishop had died on the track bed by the window and the buzzards found him before the cops. Messy, messy... real messy...
Yeah, when I came back to PHX from NYC, Aspen an El Aye in 86, Christy (Clouds) an Donny Buzzard took me up to meet Mary Lou as a spot to do Cowboys in Jars....The Musical... What a blessing these weedDealers did for me...If, as Norman Mailer said in Ancient Evenings, "Love follows those who would take us to a place we could not get to without them", then surely Mary Lou has taken me to a place I could not get to without Her...A fuckin Gold Mine !
Well, we aint got the gold from the ground but we have mined the mind that will be a payday or a Bust. Thus, we believe, the un- beleveable.
So, Ron, wanna go ?
Bob, Gately
Sure I do wanna go Bob but I can't set a date for it. The bike arrived today and ---- what a monster. 1200 water-cooled cc's that I have to diagnose and overhauol, This ain't your daddy's chopper. You gotta be a pole vaulter to get on the thing and guess what? The damn kickstand is spring loaded to fold up. I spent about an hour with my left foot pinned under it this evening. Nothing broken but my pride got its ass kicked.
Did Aspen a couple of times. Lost part of my music memory there but got to take Stevie Nicks to a party that turned out to be a bunch of gay dudes. Hahahahahaa.
Anyway save me a spot in this next hallucination. The bike and I are reaching an understanding - if she doiesn't behave and stay up straight, I'm gonna drop her again.
That's not a threat.
Changing her name to "Miss Conception" and still gotta work out a place to hang my mojo stick and the walker.
'S a bitch getting old when you don't know any better.
Ronco
Gee, Ron. that Hog sounds like my second wife...Hard to get out from under when she had ya pinned down...Well, Dude , maybe ya bit off more then ya suppose to chew at the age and stage yo grown into...How many Barco loungers for yo Buds could ya have bought for that Hog ? Rockin chairs on the porch, chickens in the yard...dreams that dont have to go nowhere...? Willy said it well, " Standing still, is still movin too".
Was it toys that brought the joy or hangin with the boys and gals that made the noise that woke you up and started again the party somebody called the cops on ? Christ, nobody will die for our sins but us. Thus is lust for life and relevance, or , just our imagination's ?
To sleep, to dream, Ah, tis to live another day to, sleep, dream scheme...flee the daily scene...
Gold aint where you find it...its where it finds you, in time...for what ?
Gately
Ah Bob I don't think you unnerstand. I ASKED for the bike. I put an ad in the paper saying "Who has an older, repairable motorcycle in storage for a disabled senior citizen?" I had FOUR calls and this is the one that came through. It was a GIFT from another Olde Harley Farte, a fe years older than ME (if you can imagine such a thing)
Yes, this ain't yo daddy's chopper and I really do need to get my sea legs under me on a smaller bike first and yes this is a "toy for big boys" but it represents the challenge I need. S#\+ Bob, this is personal now and the challenge is far better than waitin' around to die.
Did the chickens, did the hospitals, did the porch swing done the dreams. I am here to tell you pardner, there ain't no future in it.
Naw suh - give me some road, some pot and some more of that barbecue and I'll take my chances. A CHOPPER would be nice though, something I don't have to pole vault to get on to. And a cute messican girl to wipe my nose - one that doesn't speak english, that I don't have to talk to.
You just sit there long enough. Old Age will come up and bite you in the ass.... you'll unnerstand.
Ronco
Got it Ronco...When the glory days have passed you by, an time flys from the last time ya got laid, we can only wonder on whats gonna get our nut next. Delighted to hear that your scooter came via a personal plea to the Universe for wheels....Wonderful !
Bet you didnt know that my brother, Bill was a Outlaw biker back in the 40's...Yeah, rode with The Outlaws out of Riverside, Calif that later merged with those flyboys out of Fontana that caled themselves, Hells Angels...Bill wrecked his Indian Scout in 48 and the gal riding with him died. It took 150 something stitches to put the skin back on his back...Ouch. I was just a 10 year old kid but I do remember the pain it caused him and our Mom. Even after he left an joined the Air Force, his best Bud, "Nigger Harold" Reynolds would come by and ride me down for a pop. The good news was that when Bill left he left me with his collection of V-Disc's he had accumuliated as the DJ aboard the USS Midway, the carrier he served on at the end of WW2. I played over an over the discs titled, "Race Music", The Duke, Dizzy, Cab and Big Joe Turner...I guess thats why Mom always said that we were the, Black Irish.
Thanks for being on-line and always on the high-way...You are a treasure in our memorys and the thoughts you evoke are precious as we speed towards the never ending End.
Bob
Machos grossness to you too, sir. For a time I was doing blues and jazz on WRR-Dallas. Temporarily heaven. Then I met up with Sonny Barger - President of the Oakland Angels on a daytime interview show. HE wound up interviewing ME and it turned out I was a pretty bad dude with a couple of women on the string including my wife of the time. All on the air.
I'd been a biker of sorts, riding escorts for funerals on old Harley 45's (tank shift, foot clutch). Eventually I had to choose between Radio and Real Life, so when Bill and Hank decided to move west, I tagged along. Other than some shuffling, the rest as they say, is KCAC.
Wound up on a bike in the 70's and even kissed a couple of guys in the Angel's tradition. Lemme tell ya girls are more fun. Both those guys died within a month or so and I have to guess it was REALLY bad breath.
Stay tall. Never let yourself fail a pregnancy test.
Ronco
Interesting website with a lot of resources and detailed explanations.

wieexThis is so amazing. I googled kcac thinking i might just find something. I was 11 years old in 1969 and used to listen to it all the time .There hasn't been a station that good that i have ever found since. There is a pretty good one here kexp (Seattle) but not like kcac, truly commercial free and non biased. geeze guess that's why it didn't last long.
I grew up in Scottsdale and now live in WA state. My husband is from the bay area and i kept trying to explain that station to him. He wasn't into that kind of thing at 11..heh heh (we are the same age), but later he became an amazing guitar player and bassist. I also used to hang out at tower plaza where it broadcasted from, and ice skate there alot. I'd walk by the dj booth which was visable from the street. This is so cool...does anyone remember Papago park and Squaw Peak??
I would LOVE to do a documentary about kcac. Has anyone done one yet...I'm Cammie Noel
P.S
Hmmm..FYI my last comment begins with a strange word...wieex. I am not an alien nor do i speak a strange languague LOL! (well not most of the time)That was my word verification that it asked me for.wieex! That is a first!
I've never had that happen before!!(Anywhere)
Cammie Noel

I finally found 'Poser or Poet" where you left your comment on Oct. 4 2007 (as an administrator all the comments come to me thru the blog so I got yours or it would be hidden back here in the hinterlands of our blog where no one would have seen it in 'real time' so to speak)
GREAT email...and we have responded to it in our current pages. At the archives tab go to the most recent posts and you'll find some feedback to your post! Stay in touch!
