Based on this info, It might be Janet Jackson, Destiny's Child & Madonna! Wouldn't it be ironic if they switched to the same kind of format they did back in early 80's when they started playing Madonna and the like. The format that wrecked their ratings for good and led to the reason why they are changing format today.
Our mission should we be lucky enough to pull it off:
Lets hijack Andy Olson and his staff, raise a wagon full of money for them and put RFP in the old KDKB place with Andy at the helm. It would ignite Arizona with passion and incredible music."Love is a verb it requires action" and these folks have got it all.
In the time I was with RFP, I learned so much from Andy about music here, there and everywhere. He is THE keeper of the KCAC flame and his love for it all is true...along with the rest of those dedicated folks who staff the station. Not to mention Cheryl Sweet who has shared her heartfelt ideas and put them into motion at RFP, to name just one of the 'keepers' of the flame.
If someone with money in radio was REALLY SMART and wanted to have a station that would blow the "competition" into the dust, they'd call Andy and get him in charge. Imagine, another "pioneer" radio station, all these decades later, with a built in audience of people so various that it takes "psychographics" to define it...mere demographics won't do the trick!!
Andy's got the imagination, knowledge, music historyl perspective and music library to do it. It takes forward thinking, but RFP is MORE than ready to fill the void. Wow.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to wake up to that on our clock radios? And watch all the people in their cars listening on their long drives to wherever, getting a soothing dose of real radio??
Meanwhile guess we'll just continue to catch them on the net and wait for all of our cities to get 'wifi.'

Andy from the best I can tell HAS no other goals than the growth of RFP and I applaud him. Somehow the money will come, just as it did for KCAC with the arrival of Dwight and Eric and KDKB. In whatever fashion it occurs, keeping Andy on his chosen course would be indeed, the right thing to do.
RFP may never achieve what KCAC and Bill did but these are different times with vastly different people and values (or not) but the legacy is a continually living thing and I for one happen to agree with Our Lady of Perpetual Encouragement. Ancy's in the Gold. Let's dig on!
